First War 4th Infantry Battalion Cap Badge consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac listed on the Library andTwo piece construction, white metal insignia, mounted to a gilt browning copper maple leaf base, unmarked, measuring 43. 3 mm (w) x 43. 7 mm (h), both lugs intact, bottom left point of the maple leaf base bent back slightly, spotting along with residue evident on the reverse from cleaning, better than very fine. Footnote: The Battalion was raised in Central Ontario with mobilization headquarters at Camp Valcartier, Quebec under the authority of P. C.
