Instituted 19 July 1913 by King Wilhelm II. (1913 1921 issue). Constructed of gilded tombak, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a central wreathed crown, the reverse with an inscription of FR TREUE DIENSTE BEI DER FAHNE (FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE TO THE FLAG), above a wreathed number 12 in Roman numerals, unmarked, measuring 31. 23 mm in diameter, in extremely fine
