Original British Napoleonic Tower Flintlock Light Dragoon Pistol marked to 14th Light Dragoons - circa 1800 British Documents & Books very possibly silverOriginal Item: Only One Available. This Flintlock Pistol dates to prior the Battle of Waterloo, however the 14th Light Dragoons did NOT take part in the great battle that finally defeated Napoleon Bonaparte in 1815. The Regiment was raised in 1715 by Brigadier James Dormer in response to the Jacobite Rebellion, and in 1751 it was re designated to be the 14th Regiment of Light Dragoons. In 1798 it was renamed : 14th (The Duchess of York's Own) Regiment
