A Large First War Union Jack Recruitment Shield Sign consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac 1860 to February 9A large, metal, shield shaped sign with curved edges, the front covered in red, white and blue enamels displaying a Union Jack. The reverse features two wooden horizontal beams, the top with five holes drilled through the top for flag pole placement. A wire hanger is attached to the top beam as well. The sign measures 51 cm (w) x 65. 5 cm (h), and exhibits slight pitting on the reverse, four small notable chips along the edge, some dirt and staining
