Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original parade mounted ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised and leftwad facing profile of King Friedrich Wilhelm III, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse bearing a central wreathed inscriptio of FR RETTUNG AUS GEFAHR (FOR RESCUE FROM DANGER), unmarked, measuring 24. 92
