This delicate little trailer grows from a 6" long carrot-like taproot

to 1' long

so we coaxed a few spores along so it could become a 2006 Plant Delights/JLBG introduction

The 50" tall clumps are topped in mid-June with huge dark blue-purple flowers

each highlighted by a contrasting yellow cup

Hosta Blueper Dentaria This delicate little trailer grows(aka Hosta 1995 044) This 2010 Plant Delights Nursery introduction originated as a 1995 cross of Hosta 'Fragrant Blue' x Hosta 'Halcyon. We have thoroughly enjoyed the resulting small growing 6" tall x 18" wide compact clump of silver blue leaves. The clumps are topped with 9" tall spikes of light lavender flowers starting in mid August a hummingbird treat. Hosta 'Blueper' has not been tissue cultured, so supplies are very limited.
