Collection, I am told, in Kansas City. It is one of the NICEST GERMAN MAUSER 71 84 Rifles that we have ever seen. It actually has Regimental markings on the butt plate: 43. R. E. 4. 233., which would probably be for a reserve regiment. From what we can see, we think this rifle was never used in service before being converted.
