He branded his name by having "Hieram Walker" printed on his casks and bottles. Walker's whiskey was particularly popular in clubs, which is why he added the name "Club" to his products. In the 1880s, Walker expanded the United States, but American whiskey producers forced him to label his products with the designation "Canadian". From then on his whiskey was called the Canadian Club.
