The name is derived from the Talisker House property, located a few miles west in the mountains. After a fire in 1960 that almost completely destroyed the distillery, Talisker was rebuilt true to the original a few years later. Skye's breathtaking landscape attracts countless tourists to the distillery every year, many of whom are enthusiastic about the distillery's peppery, smoky
