On the palate, juicy red and dark berries, vanilla and oak. The finish is savoury with long lingering tannins. The name Hartenberg comes from the Afrikaans and means heart of the mountains. The Hartenberg wine estate is located in the Stellenbosch region, 54 kilometres east of Cape Town. It covers around 150 hectares, two thirds of which are planted with vines.
